OK so, I know what to do when T.C. (french bulldog puppy, turning 8 weeks this sunday) chews or does something he doesn't... like when he bites too hard, I make a rather high-pitched noise (like a puppy when he gets hurt), turn my back and walk away for a bit, and he stops and sits down for 2 seconds or so.
HOWEVER, french bulldogs are known to be stubborn and curious, and he gets distracted very easily. Idk how long it takes for him to learn his name, since I do pet him everytime he looks or comes to me, telling him he's a good boy, but he still doesn't grasp it as well, but he's very slowly learning... I think.
When he's chewing on something (e.g. cables, furniture, etc.), I usually take him away from it and make a correctional noise, and often try to redirect him towards something else to chew on, like a toy, but he still 90% of the time goes back to what he was chewing on before that he's not supposed or allowed to chew on. He's overall quite energetic and he's been in this house since August 31st.
I'd like to train him as early as possible and all that crap, and idk if there are appropriate puppytreats, but I wanna try it and make him a really good dog, you know. He's already grasping the concept of holding his bladder and waiting until he's outside, and overnight he poops in his crate on the newspaper area which is good.
I'm considering asking the lady (since she works at the vet near my house) if she got treats or if there exists treats appropriate for training use. We're going there either Saturday or Monday since he'll get his vaccination.
So... if anyone, esp. those who raised french bulldog puppies before, it'd be great and very appreciated if you could give me some tips. ;;;____;;;
